What an amazing weekend! GM Bobby Taboada’s World Camp and 70th Birthday Celebration was a blast. We started off with FQIs showing 2-3 techniques then sessions with GM Sam Buot, GM Ver Villasin, GM Nene Gaabucayan, GM Nick Elizar, Ama Raffy Pambuan, Master Eugene Nepangue, Datu Tim Hartman, Tuhon Ray Dionaldo and finally, GM Bobby Taboada – calling each FQIs for the demo then drilling back on to basics.
Thank you GM Bobby for hosting a great event and thanks to all the FQIs that assisted and made sure the event went smoothly.

20180713-15 KM Camp at lovely Estes Park, Colorado. The goal of this camp is to get all black belts on the same page with Freestyle, knowledge of material, teaching methods, vocabulary, and grading qualifications. GM Shelley also introduced the Baseline Curriculum, a simplified, but progressive learning drill that encompasses Doble Baston, Solo Baston, Espada Y Daga, Daga Sa Daga and Mano Mano.
GM corrected everyone’s form for Largo Mano Exchanges and the 11 Basic Exchanges. Showed the proper way to guide along with the applications of the exchanges. With these exchanges, GM exposed the hidden disarms. He also showed everyone how to freeflow your Freestyle (remove the baseline) and where to apply the EYD within freestyle.
Saturday afternoon – black belt testing. KM of NOVA would like to congratulate everyone that tested including our very own, Hunter Vera for passing his 2nd degree black.
